A little corner of Germany on Main Street
Inside a building that has stood on North Main Street since the 1880s, Bavarian Brauhaus pours a genuine slice of Germany into the heart of Historic Downtown Bryan. Step through the door and the city falls away: warm pine ceilings, wooden booths, exposed brick and the clink of liter steins.
The kitchen keeps it honest. Traditional German dishes made from scratch, and beer poured in keeping with the old Bavarian Purity Law. No theme-park shortcuts, just real schnitzel, real wurst and proper imports on tap.
A fun local quirk: we share a wall, and an open doorway, with the Irish pub next door, so a few Irish plates wander onto the menu too. Locals call us a top five spot in Bryan and College Station, and we have the regulars to prove it.
One guest, here with her husband from Germany, said it was the closest to home he had felt in a very long time.
